The United Nations Climate change conference, COP26, took place this year in Glasgow from 1 - 12 November and a number of staff and students from the University attended the conference as observers. This webpage will be updated with information about their experiences soon.

The University will continue the conversation around COP26 and sustainability hosting events that include a series of expert-led online panel discussions exploring topics such as renewable energy, transport, climate change and net-zero.

How is the University of Aberdeen supporting COP26?

Research and innovation from the University can contribute to important discussions and negotiations taking place in the run up to COP26 and during the summit in Glasgow later this year.  We want to highlight the best climate-related research outputs from the University on the global stage.

We also want to celebrate our ambitious sustainability commitments made in Aberdeen 2040 and explore opportunities to highlight the advances made to date in delivering on our learning, discovery and actions in the area of environment, bio-diversity and climate change.
